ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A ground opener for use with a seed drill consisting of a first ground working member which extends generally vertically, thereby creating a generally vertical ground opening. The first ground working member has opposed sides, a top end and a bottom end. A second ground working member secured to and extending generally horizontally from one of the sides of the first ground working member, thereby creating a generally horizontal ground opening adjoining the vertical ground opening. The second ground working member has one end remote from the first ground working member. A seed delivery conduit which extends from the top end of the first ground working member to the remote end of second ground working member. Seeds are deposited in the horizontal ground opening spaced from the vertical ground opening.
