ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The invention relates to an implement for manually extracting and ejecting ground plugs and, in particular, lawn weeds. The implement is essentially made of a sleeve member provided with a first pedal for inserting it in the ground and a second pedal for ejecting the ground plug which has been introduced in the sleeve member. The sleeve member has an axial slot on its periphery. The second pedal is secured, through the slot, to a cylindrical member slidingly mounted in the sleeve member. The slot provides the sleeve member with such flexibility so as to be slightly stretched out when the sleeve member is pushed into the ground while compressing the ground plug when the sleeve member is pulled out of the ground.
