A grounding arrangement is provided for a removable panel of a switchgear enclosure. The grounding arrangement includes a member protruding from a first of the removable panel or interfacing portions of the enclosure and a conductive spring plate on the second of the removable panel or interfacing portions of the enclosure arranged to provide suitable wiping contact with the member. In a specific embodiment, the member and the conductive spring plate are arranged such that no clearance is required between the removable panel and the interfacing portions of the enclosure, thus increasing tamper resistance. The grounding arrangement may be utilized for enclosures having two removable panels such that a first grounding arrangement establishes a ground between a first removable panel and a second removable panel and a second grounding arrangement establishes a ground between the second removable panel and the interfacing portions of the enclosure.
