A grounding bushing for attachment to an electrical conduit having an externally threaded end, comprising a ring-shaped body portion having an outer perimeter and an inner face defining a central longitudinal opening for receiving a portion of the threaded end of the conduit, a grounding lug electrically connected to the body and adapted for attachment to a grounding wire, a threaded area formed in a discrete portion of the face having at least one internal partial thread formed thereon, and a set screw opposite the threaded area for maintaining an engaged relationship between the partial threads and the threaded end of the conduit. In the preferred embodiment, the grounding lug is integrally cast with the body of the bushing, as are the threads formed in the threaded area, and the central opening in the body is slightly elongated for ease of installation. The grounding lug comprises a C-shaped receptacle suitable for receiving a conventional grounding wire, and a set screw for retaining the grounding wire in the receptacle. The top face of the bushing is preferably coated with plastic or other material suitable for the purpose.
