-19- Summary By this group control, the cages of a lift group can be so selected for boarding passengers that the boarding passengers arrive at the shaft door of the selected lift earlier than the selected cage, whereby unnecessarily long stops are avoided. For this purpose, a store (15) in which the times needed by a passenger on a storey for the paths between the respectively actuated call-registering and indicating equipment and the shaft doors of the lift are stored, is provided for each lift. A comparator (16) connected with the store (15) compares the time associated with the actuated call-registering and indicating equipment with the travelling time of the cage to the call input storey. If the travelling time is less than the time needed by the passenger to get to the shaft door concerned, a switching equipment (17) connected to the output of the comparator (16) becomes effective in such a manner that the lift concerned is excluded from the call allocation procedure.
