A system for treating a hydrocarbon containing formation is described. The system includes two or more groups of elongated heaters . A group includes two or more heaters (242) placed in two or more openings in the formation. The heaters in the group are electrically coupled below the surface of the formation. The openings are at least partially uncased wellbores in a hydrocarbon layer of the formation. The groups are electrically configured such that current flow through the formation between at least two groups is inhibited. The heaters are configured to provide heat to the formation.
L'invention concerne un système permettant de traiter une formation contenant un hydrocarbure. Le système comprend deux ou davantage de groupes d'éléments chauffants allongés. Un groupe comprend deux ou davantage d'éléments chauffants (242), placés dans deux ou davantage d'ouvertures de la formation. Les éléments chauffants du groupe sont couplés électriquement sous la surface de la formation. Les ouvertures sont au moins partiellement des trous de forage non tubés dans une couche d'hydrocarbure de la formation. Les groupes sont configurés électriquement de façon à inhiber le courant traversant la formation entre au moins deux groupes. Les éléments chauffants sont conçus pour fournir de la chaleur à la formation.
