ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to an improved device for recording, comparing and displaying the growth of different members and generations of a family over a period of years. The device has an elongated base member which is mounted on a suitable wall. The base member has a vertically extending groove which slidably receives a rearwardly extending tongue portion of a slide member. The slide member also has a forwardly extending arm portion, wing portions which extend laterally across the face of the base member, and an upwardly extending tree-shaped portion. The family name or family tree is entered on the tree-shaped portion of the slide member. A child stands against the wall in front of the device and the slide member is moved downwardly along the base member until the arm portion contacts the top of the child's head. The slide member is held in this position and a horizontal line is then drawn on the front face of the base member along one of the wing portions of the slide member and the name of the child and the date is then inserted on the top of the line. This is done periodically over a number of years for different members of the family. The children of one generation of the family may be recorded and compared on one side of the groove and the children of the next generation recorded and compared on the other side. When the record is complete, the apparatus provides an accurate historical record of the family's growth patterns over the generations used and a very interesting display which may be hung in a prominent position in one's home.
