A guardrail assembly for use on an elevated work platform includes a pair of rail sections pivotally connected to the sides of an open end of a work platform for movement between a collapsed position against the sides of the platform and an extended position. The rail sections are maintained in the extended positions by two-piece diagonal braces, which also collapse against the sides of the platform when the assembly is not in use.
