A chain saw where the saw chain is tensioned by inserting and rotating a key (25, 26) through the clamping plate (19), and the key has one cylindrical shaft portion (26) guided by a hole (22) in the clamping plate and a pinion- shaped end (25) engaging a corrugated part (17) of the edge of a longitudinal slot (16) in the chain guide bar (15), thereby moving guide bar lengthwise, without use of any tensioning mechanism.

L'invention concerne une scie à chaîne dont la chaîne est tendue par insertion et rotation d'une clé (25, 26) dans la plaque de serrage (19). La clé possède une partie tige cylindrique (26) guidée dans un trou (22) pratiqué dans la plaque de serrage, et une extrémité en forme de pignon (25) coopérant avec une partie crénelée (17) située en bordure d'une fente longitudinale (16) ménagée dans la barre de guidage (15) de la chaîne. La barre de guidage est ainsi déplacée en longueur sans l'aide d'un tendeur.
