For a guide bar arrangement comprising a guide bar (6) and a saw chain (7) guided in circulation in a guide groove (9) it is provided that the guide bar (6) has an opening for supply of oil which opening extends from an exterior side (20) of the guide bar (6) extending in a longitudinal direction of the guide bar into the guide groove (9) and opens into a first sidewall (18) in the guide groove (9). In order to prevent clogging of the opening, it is provided that in the opening an insert (17, 27, 37, 47) is secured that reduces the free flow cross-sectional area of the opening.
