A guide cart for a tool such as a parting-off grinder or similar device has a frame (4) on which are positioned at least three wheels (5, 6). In order to achieve the easy adjustment of the cutting depth of a tool positioned on the guide cart at least one wheel (6) is fixed by a first strut (10) and by a second strut (11) to the frame (4) of the guide cart (1). In this arrangement the first strut (10) is mounted on the frame (4) in such a manner that it is able to rotate and at least two mounting points (12, 13) spaced a certain distance apart are provided for mounting the second strut (11).
