Guide case (24) for use in conjunction with a water turbine (20), with a helical top wall (35) of the annular chamber (27) extended downstream of the inner wall (39) of the inlet port (30). The extension is wetted on its downstream side by the top water entering the inlet port, and on its upstream side by the bottom water. The extension serves to keep the top water separate from the bottom water until the velocity vectors of the two water streams have been aligned, therefore reducing turbulence at the point where the waters mix and merge, and enabling more of the energy to be extracted from the water.
Boîtier de guidage (24) à utiliser conjointement avec une turbine hydraulique (20), avec une paroi supérieure hélicoïdale (35) de la chambre annulaire (27) s~étendant en aval de la paroi intérieure (39) de l~orifice d~entrée (30). L~extension est mouillée sur son côté aval par l~eau sus-jacente pénétrant l~orifice d~entrée et sur son côté amont par l~eau sous-jacente. L~extension sert à maintenir l~eau sus-jacente séparée de l~eau sous-jacente jusqu~à ce que les vecteurs de vitesse des deux courants d~eau soient alignés, réduisant ainsi la turbulence au niveau du point où les eaux se mélangent et se rejoignent et permettant d~extraire plus d~énergie de l~eau.
