The guide device (10) for guidance of a load carrier (2) of a lift installation (1) along a guide surface (6, 6', 6"), comprises a guide element (11, 11', 11") which is disposed in contact with the guide surface (6, 6', 6") and which is connected by means of a connecting element (20, 20', 20") with the load carrier (2) in such a manner that the guide element is movable relative to the load carrier between different positions in a first and/or a second positional range. The connecting element comprises a first (21, 21', 21") and a second (22, 22', 22") resilient element in a serial arrangement, wherein in the case of movement of the guide element (11, 11', 11") in the first positional range both resilient elements (21, 22; 21', 22'; 21", 22") are deformed and in the case of movement of the guide element (11, 11', 11") in the second positional range exclusively the second resilient element (22, 22', 22") is deformed. In that case an overall stiffness of the connecting element (20, 20', 20") is a function of the respective position of the guide element (11, 11', 11"). A stiffness of the second resilient element (22, 22', 22") increases in the case of compression of the element in the second positional range, wherein the overall stiffness of the connecting element (20, 20', 20") has a substantially constant course in the case of a transition of the guide element (11, 11', 11") between the first and the second positional range.

La rigidité du second élément résilient (22, 22', 22") augmente si ledit élément est comprimé dans la seconde gamme de positions, où la rigidité d'ensemble de l'élément de raccordement (20, 20', 20") reste essentiellement constante en cas de déplacement de l'élément de guidage (11, 11', 11") entre la première et la seconde gammes de positions.
