An apparatus for winding a tape medium comprises a hub supported by a frame for wrappingly receiving the tape medium. A drive engages the hub and rotably drives it about a wind axis whereby a length of the tape medium is wound to form a spool/like tape pack with a portion of the tape medium entering the tape pack at a tangential nip and with the tape pack having opposite first and second surfaces. A packing arm includes a proximal end portion at the hub and extends to a distal end portion at the circumference of the tape pack. The packing arm has a contact surface for contacting the first surface of the tape pack. A support member supports the packing arm in contact wiht the first surface of the tape pack. A tape reel assembly for mounting to and demounting from a tape drive apparatus is also provided.
L'invention concerne un appareil d'enroulement d'un support en bande, qui comprend un moyeu supporté par un cadre permettant de recevoir par enroulement le support en bande. Un entraînement est au contact du moyeu et l'entraîne de manière rotative autour d'un axe d'embobinage, caractérisé en ce qu'une longueur du support en bande est enroulé pour former une galette ressemblant à une bobine au moyen d'une partie du support en bande s'introduisant dans la galette au niveau d'un resserrement tangentiel, et en ce que la galette possède une première et une seconde surface opposée. Un bras d'emballage comprend une partie d'extrémité proximale au niveau du moyeu et s'étend à une partie d'extrémité distale à la circonférence de la galette. Le bras d'emballage comporte une surface de contact destinée à entrer au contact de la première surface de la galette. Un élément support maintient le bras d'emballage au contact de la première surface de la galette. L'invention concerne également un ensemble dévidoir de bande conçu pour être monté sur l'appareil d'entraînement de la bande et démonté de celui-ci.
