The invention relates to a guide rail for the valve gear of an internal combustion engine comprising, inside the rail (1), accommodating spaces (2), which are situated one behind the other in an interspaced manner and accommodate valve lifters (3). According to the invention, flattenings are provided on the outer surface of the valve lifter (3) in order to prevent a valve lifter (3) from rotating about its central longitudinal axis. These flattenings rest against flattenings (6) of the guide rail (1) that are located inside the assigned accommodating space (2). According to the invention, an insertion borehole (4) is allocated to each accommodating space (2) of the guide rail (1), into which the valve lifter (3) with its trumpet- like end (5) shaped thereon is inserted in the direction of its longitudinal axis, is subsequently displaced, in a manner that is parallel to the axis, up to the flattenings (6) of the guide rail (1) that act as turning prevention surfaces and, afterwards, is slightly displaced once again in an axial direction.

L'invention concerne un rail de guidage (1) destiné à l'entraînement des soupapes d'un moteur à combustion interne, comportant des zones de réception (2) disposées les unes derrière les autres de façon espacée, contenant des tiges de soupapes (3), des méplats étant pratiqués sur l'enveloppe des tiges de soupapes (3) de manière à bloquer lesdites tiges de soupapes contre la rotation autour de leur axe longitudinal central. Lesdits méplats s'appuient contre des méplats (6) pratiqués sur le rail de guidage (1) situés à l'intérieur de la zone de réception correspondante (2). Selon l'invention, un alésage d'insertion (4) est affecté à chaque zone de réception (2) du rail de guidage (1). Les tiges de soupapes (3) sont insérées avec leur extrémité en forme de trompette (5) dans ledit alésage d'insertion dans le sens longitudinal desdites tiges de soupapes, décalées de façon axialement parallèle en direction des méplats (6) du rail de guidage (1) servant de surface de blocage contre la rotation, puis décalées légèrement de façon axiale.
