The invention concerns a golf buggy and a mobile transmitter unit which is carried by the golfer. The buggy and the transmitter unit each comprise a receiver and evaluating unit provided with a computer for a satellite-controlled positioning system. The two receiver and evaluating units calculate the respective position of the golfer and the buggy from the signals received cyclically from the satellite system. The mobile transmitter unit is provided with a high-frequency hand-held transmitter by means of which the positions of the golfer can likewise be transmitted cyclically to the buggy. In each case the buggy computer calculates the direction and distance of the golfer and stores these data until it travels the stored path in response to a signal. The buggy remains at a predetermined distance from the golfer. If a stationary reference transmitter, which corrects the golfer and buggy position data received from the satellite system, is also used, given areas of the golf course can be blocked off as areas in which the buggy may not travel.
Une voiturette de golf et un appareil émetteur mobile porté par un joueur de golf présentent chacun un dispositif récepteur et d'evaluation à calculateur, pour un système de positionnement commandé par satellite. A partir des signaux reçus périodiquement par le système satellite, les récepteurs et les dispositifs d'évaluation calculent la position respective du joueur et de la voiturette. Le dispositif émetteur mobile est muni d'un émetteur manuel HF, au moyen duquel les positions du joueur sont transmises à la voiturette, également périodiquement. Le calculateur de la voiturette calcule à chaque fois la direction et la distance du joueur et mémorise ces données jusqu'à ce qu'il parcourt le trajet mémorisé en réponse à un signal. La voiturette demeure à une distance prédéterminée du joueur. Si on utilise en outre un émetteur de référence stationnaire qui corrige les données de position du joueur et de la voiturette, fournies par le système satellite, des domaines déterminés du parcours de golf peuvent être délimités comme zones interdites dans lesquelles la voiturette ne doit pas circuler.
