Abstract Improved Guide System In An Hydraulic Elevator A guide shoe for the car of an hydraulic elevator (10) includes a bracket (305) with a pair of rollers (310) mounted thereon. The rollers engage the cylinder (200) of a jack (45) which powers the elevator, the guide shoe longitudinally traversing the cylinder as the car moves vertically thereby at least in part eliminating the need for separate guide rails.
