ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A folding barrier assembly has a guide track and floor structure comprising an elongated member of sheet material having a channel-shaped cross-section received and embedded within a floor. The guide track has a central basewall forming the bottom of the track and divergent sidewalls extending upwardly and outwardly from opposite side of the basewall. The sidewalls at the upper ends thereof merge into reversely bent downwardly and outwardly inclined and divergent securing flanges of which are fully embedded within the floor to anchor the track, the channel being upwardly open relation to receive the folding barrier therein. The securing flanges provide secure anchoring means embedded within the floor for extended service life of the guide track, the folding barrier being engaged with and slidable longitudinally of the guide track.
