ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Arrangements for guiding tape-like data carrier over recording member to record data on the carrier. Two pivotally mounted guide members move the carrier so that the portion between the members remains taut. The length of carrier between said members is preferably constant. A cam-controlled mechanism pivots the guide members. Particularly applicable to electrostatic high- speed printers.
