A b s t r a c t A steering device for many-axled goose-neck trailers coupled behind a tractor or other vehicle via the goose-neck and a fifth wheel on the tractor or other vehicle. Of the wheel sets of the trailer the foremost one and the rear ones are steered by friction against the road, and in addition thereto the rearmost ones of the rear wheel sets are also forcibly steered from the tractor or other vehicle by the fifth wheel of same via a transmission. The wheel sets may also be provided with a reverse lock.
