The invention relates to a guiding element in the form of a ring (1) which is used to mount a shaft (2) with friction and with an articulation and/or sliding capability, whereby said element is intended to be mounted in a bore in a support. The invention is characterised in that: the ring and/or the shaft is subjected to a surface hardening treatment, at least at the friction surface thereof, by means of diffusion or structural transformation, followed by a finishing treatment and a treatment designed to reduce seizing tendency and the friction coefficient; the friction surface of the ring (1), formed by the bore (1a) therein, comprises means that can be used to store a lubricant; and the external periphery of the ring is solidly connected to a flexible, deformable element (3) which can be engaged in the bore in the support.
Cet organe de guidage sous forme d'une bague (1) pour le montage avec frottement et capacité d'articulation et/ou de coulissement d'un axe (2), l'organe étant destiné à être monté dans l'alésage d'un support, est remarquable en ce que : la bague et/ou l'axe est soumis, au moins au niveau de sa surface de frottement, à un traitement de durcissement superficiel par diffusion ou par transformation structurale, suivi d'un traitement de finition et d'un traitement apte à réduire la tendance au grippage et à réduire le coefficient de frottement ; la surface de frottement de la bague (1), constituée par son alésage (la), présente des agencements aptes à faire office de réserve d'un lubrifiant ; la périphérie externe de la bague est rendue solidaire d'un élément en matière souple déformable (3) apte à être engagé dans l'alésage du support.
