ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hack for use on a curling rink is removable from the rink when the rink is being flooded or repaired. One embodiment of the hack has a cylindrical base to which a smaller cylindrical stud is attached. Holes for the hack and the stud are drilled in the ice and the hack is positioned for use in those holes. A second embodiment of the hack is used in conjunction with a form which is intended to be frozen in the ice of the rink. The form has a hollow space for receipt of the hack. When the hack is in the space it cannot move except that it can be lifted out of the space.
