ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hack for use on a curling rink is removable from the rink when the rink is being flooded or repaired. Holes for the hack and the stud are drilled in the ice and the hack is positioned for use in those holes. A second embodiment of the hack is used in conjunction with a form which is intended to be frozen in the ice of the rink. The form has a hollow space for receipt of the hack. When the hack is in the space it cannot move except that it can be lifted out of the space.
