The present invention is directed to a powder delivery system containing a composition comprising gelatine or collagen powder having a mean particle size of at least 10 ~m. The gelatine or collagen powder is typically in dry form, i.e. no liquid components and/or propellants are added to the composition. The present invention is also directed to an improved powder delivery system which contains a protective structure, such as a skirt, located close to the orifice of the delivery system. In a further aspect, the present invention is directed to gelatine- or collagen-based compositions useful in haemostatic applications. In a further aspect of the invention the powder delivery system comprises gelatine or collagen powder in a dry form ready to use. Further the powder delivery system in a dry form might comprise an agent incompatible with moisture and/or water.
L'invention concerne un système de distribution de poudre comprenant une composition constituée d'une poudre de gélatine ou de collagène de granulométrie moyenne au moins égale à 10 ?m. La poudre de gélatine ou de collagène est généralement sous forme sèche, c'est-à-dire qu'aucun composant liquide et/ou aucun propulseur ne sont ajoutés à ladite composition. L'invention concerne également un système de distribution de poudre amélioré qui contient une structure protectrice, telle qu'une jupe, placée à proximité de l'orifice du système de distribution. Selon un aspect, l'invention concerne des compositions à base de gélatine ou de collagène utilisées dans des applications hémostatiques. Selon un autre aspect, l'invention concerne un système de distribution comprenant une poudre de gélatine ou de collagène sous forme sèche prête à l'emploi. Le système de distribution sous forme sèche peut comprendre un agent incompatible avec l'humidité et/ou l'eau.
