The present invention provides a water-based composition comprising a non- emulsifying crosslinked silicone elastomer in an amount effective to decrease the amount of sebum on the hair or scalp. The water-based compositions of the present invention are in non-emulsion form. More preferably, the water-based compositions of the present invention have a suspending agent in an amount effective to suspend the crosslinked silicone elastomer within the water-based composition. The present invention also provides to a method of method for absorbing and/or removing sebum and/or styling product residue from the hair or scalp. The method comprises the step of applying the water-based composition to the hair and/or scalp. Preferably, the water-based hair composition is distributed through the hair and/or scalp, e.g., by using a comb or brush.
La présente invention concerne une composition à base d'eau qui comprend un élastomère de silicone réticulé émulsifiant dans une quantité efficace pour diminuer la quantité de sébum présente sur les cheveux et sur le cuir chevelu. Ces compositions à base d'eau sont d'une forme sans émulsion. Dans un mode de réalisation plus préférée, les composition de l'invention possèdent un agent de suspension dans une quantité efficace pour suspendre l'élastomère de silicone réticulé à l'intérieur de cette composition à base d'eau. Cette invention concerne aussi un procédé d'absorption et de suppression du sébum et/ou des résidus de produit coiffant présents dans les cheveux ou sur le cuir chevelu. Ce procédé consiste à appliquer cette composition à base d'eau dans les cheveux ou sur le cuir chevelu. On réparti dans les cheveux ou sur le cuir chevelu cette composition capillaire à base d'eau de préférence avec un peigne ou une brosse.
