05616 Abstract of the Disclosure The invention is directed to a hair-care appliance heated by a source of gas or electric current, with a housing for accommodating the heating device, wherein the appliance includes a temperature ready indicator. This ready indicator is comprised of a thermostatic bimetal snap-action disk serving the function of an actu- ating element and/or audible indicating element, and par- ticularly a push rod movable by means of the snap-action disk into a position beyond an end closure of the housing, as well as a retaining means for the push rod.
