The invention relates to a hair shaping device (1), especially a steam styling tong which has a tubular drum (3) for treating the hair, this drum being provided with ducts (2). A heating device (12) and a dosing device (26) are configured in the drum. When said dosing device (26) is activated, liquid is discharged from an outlet (18) of a liquid container (19) through a wick (17). An evaporating device (13) which is provided with heat by a heating device (12) evaporates the liquid into steam which then passes out through the ducts (2) configured on the drum (3). According to the invention, means (60, 19) are provided for removing any excess liquid left in the evaporating chamber (14) from the evaporating chamber (14) and returning it to the liquid container (19) when the dosing device (26) has been activated, before the dosing device (26) is next activated,. This arrangement ensures that the device only evaporates as much liquid as the user requires. Liquid is also prevented from entering the heating device (12). This would otherwise impede or prevent the activation of the catalyst (8).
La présente invention concerne un appareil de mise en forme de la chevelure (1), en particulier une barre à friser à vapeur, présentant un cylindre (3) doté de fentes (2) et servant à mettre en forme les cheveux, un dispositif de chauffage (12) et un dispositif de distribution (26) se trouvant dans ledit cylindre. Lors de l'actionnement du dispositif de distribution (26), du liquide sort d'un réservoir à liquide (19) par une fente (18) via une mèche (17). Un dispositif de vaporisation (13) approvisionné en chaleur par le dispositif de chauffage (12) met le liquide à l'état de vapeur, ladite vapeur sortant alors au niveau des fentes (2) pratiquées dans le cylindre (3). Selon l'invention, l'appareil comprend des éléments (60, 19) qui, suite à l'actionnement du dispositif de distribution (26), servent à éliminer du compartiment de vaporisation (14) le surplus de liquide présent dans ledit compartiment de vaporisation (14), l'élimination ayant lieu avant chaque nouvel actionnement du dispositif de distribution? ¿(26), et à renvoyer ledit liquide dans le réservoir à liquide (19). Ce dispositif permet de ne vaporiser du liquide qu'en une quantité souhaitée par la personne se servant de l'appareil. De plus, aucun liquide ne peut pénétrer dans le dispositif de chauffage (12), ce qui rendrait sinon difficile voire empêcherait la mise en marche du catalyseur (8).
