The invention provides hair styling gels containing a carboxylated polurethane resin, a viscosity enhancer, and an optional second hair fixative resin, in an aqueous carrier. The carboxylated polyurethane resin is hydrophilic and can be solubilized in water, or in a hydroalcoholic solution, in the absence of a base. The styling gel compositions impart excellent hair styling, conditioning, and hair set retention properties to treated hair.

Gels pour cheveux renfermant une résine de polyuréthane carboxylé, un agent améliorant la viscosité et, facultativement, un second fixatif capillaire, dans un véhicule aqueux. La résine de polyurethane carboxylé est hydrophile et peut être solubilisé dans l'eau ou dans une solution aqueuse d'alcool, en l'absence de toute base. Les gels donnent aux cheveux un maintien ferme et durable, avec une excellente apparence et un conditionnement efficace.
