ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An aqueous hair treatment composition is provided that includes a water-soluble polymer having a solution viscosity at 10% in water of less than about 20,000 cps at 25°C, and a latex of water-insoluble polymeric particles dispersed in water, the average particle size being no higher than about 3 microns, the latex particles being formed from respective monomers in the presence of the water-soluble polymer.
