The incandescent lamp has a filament which surrounds the optical axis of the reflector. The lamp envelope of the incandescent lamp is substantially spheroidal and has a maximum diameter which is larger than the width of the pinch, a tipped-off exhaust tube being situated opposite to the pinch.
