An hand application tool (16) for laying a sealant spacer strip (14) along a glass sheet (12) for forming insulating glass units having a handle (18) with first and second ends; a base (24) having freely rotatable rollers connected to the first end of the handle; and a housing (2) connected to the first end of said handle and to the base the housing having a positioning roller, at least one guide pin and a housing roller wherein the at least one guide pin and the housing roller form a guideway for deploying the adhesive strip and the housing roller provides pressure for applying the sealant spacer strip onto the glass sheet.

l'invention concerne un outil manuel destiné à l'application d'une bande d'espacement étanche le long d'une vitre pour former des unités de verre d'isolation. Cet outil comprend une poignée pourvue d'une première et d'une deuxième extrémité, une base pourvue de galets pivotant librement et reliée à la première extrémité de la poignée et un boîtier raccordé à la première extrémité de cette poignée et à la base, ce boîtier ayant un galet de positionnement, au moins une tige de guidage et un galet de boîtier. Le ou les tige(s) de guidage et le galet de boîtier forment un passage pour déployer la bande adhésive et le galet de boîtier délivre la pression pour appliquer la bande d'espacement étanche sur la vitre.
