A seal assembly for permitting hand assisted laparoscopic procedures includes a seal cap having a central access opening allowing access to a body cavity as desired. The seal cap is provided with a housing in which a seal is positioned. The seal cap also includes an attachment ring that is selectively detachable therefrom for selective attachment of a retractor.

Cette invention se rapporte à un ensemble d'étanchéité permettant d'exécuter des procédures laparoscopiques manuelles, ledit ensemble comprenant un manchon d'étanchéité muni d'une ouverture centrale d'accès permettant de pénétrer dans la cavité corporelle souhaitée. Le manchon d'étanchéité est pourvu d'un cache dans lequel est placé un joint. Le manchon d'étanchéité comprend également un anneau de fixation qui peut en être sélectivement détaché pour la fixation d'un écarteur.
