ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hand brush has a handle portion including a reservoir for a cleaning liquid. A liquid outlet channel is formed in the bristle bed of the brush and is closable by a spring loaded closing element, having a projection that extends through the liquid outlet channel into the area of the bristles to a shorter length than the length of the bristles both when the bristles are in their resting position and when normal working pressure is applied to them. It is only when increased pressure is applied to the hand brush that the projection comes into contact with the surface that is to be cleaned, which opens the liquid outlet channel by raising the closing element.
