A powder coating hand-gun usable in an electrostatic coating method in which the powder coating hand-gun is instantaneously responsive to a change or variation in the coating environment during the coating operation without the operator's interrupting the coating operation, and a coating system incorporating the same are provided. The rearward section of a barrel portion 14 of a hand-gun 12 includes a switch 22 which can be operated by releasing only the thumb T of the right hand holding the hand-gun 12 from a grip portion 16 and standing the thumb T. The amount of the coating material discharged from the hand-gun 12 can be changed, for example, from 400 g/cm3 to 200 g/cm3 by operating the switch 22 when the hand-gun is approaching an interior corner while coating a box.

Le pistolet à poudre réagit instantanément à un changement ou à une variation dans les conditions de revêtement, sans que l'utilisateur n'ait à interrompre l'opération de revêtement. La présente invention porte également sur un système de revêtement intégrant ledit pistolet. La section arrière du canon (14) du pistolet (12) comporte un dispositif de commande (22) que l'utilisateur peut actionner en relâchant uniquement le pouce (T) de la main droite qui tient la poignée (16) du pistolet (12). Lorsque l'utilisateur approche le pistolet (12) d'un coin intérieur d'une boîte, il peut activer le dispositif de commande (22) pour modifier la quantité de produit de revêtement à appliquer, par exemple de 400 g/cm3 à 200 g/cm3.
