A computer apparatus includes a computer processing unit for operating upon data and providing data for display and a handheld input/output display unit. The display unit includes a housing sized to be grasped by a user's hand. A computer display is located within the housing at a position to allow the user to view the display through an eyepiece. A three button user input interface is integrated with the computer display in the housing and is operatively connected to provide user input to the processing unit. The computer processing unit may also be integrated into the housing with the display. Further a method of navigation using the three button user input interface is provided, e.g., using a tree based structure and/or a circular navigational structure.
L'invention porte sur un appareil informatique comprenant une unité de traitement permettant d'exploiter et de générer des données destinées à être affichées, ainsi qu'une unité d'affichage portative entrée/sortie dont le corps est dimensionné de façon à tenir dans la main d'un utilisateur. Un écran est placé dans le corps, à un endroit qui permet à l'utilisateur de le regarder au travers d'un oculaire. Une interface à trois boutons est intégrée à l'écran placé dans le corps et connectée de manière fonctionnelle pour assurer l'entrée utilisateur à l'unité de traitement. L'unité de traitement peut être intégrée au corps avec l'écran. L'invention porte également sur un procédé de traitement utilisant l'interface entrée utilisateur à trois boutons, par exemple, une structure arborescente et/ou une structure d'exploration circulaire.
