A handheld electronic device for tracking the performance of a goalie. The device includes a programmed microprocessor connected to a first key electrically connected to the microprocessor for recording shots taken on goal against the goalie, a second key electrically connected to the microprocessor for recording goals scored against the goalie, third and fourth keys electrically connected to the microprocessor, an electrically erasable programmable memory electrically connected to the microprocessor; and a display electrically connected to the microprocessor. The microprocessor is programmed to store data representing the keys operated in response to the operation of the first and second keys during a game. In response to operation of the third key the microprocessor calculates a save percentage and goals against average for the goalie based upon the stored data and causes the save percentage and goals against average to be displayed on said display and writes the save percentage and goals against average to the electrically erasable programmable memory for recall in response to the operation of the fourth key.
