A hand-held and self-contained electronic printing device (10) for printing indicia on a medium (M) includes a housing (12) that can be manually positioned adjacent a surface of the medium (M) and remain stationary against the medium (M) during the printing sequence. The housing (12) has an aperture that generally defines a printing area on the medium (M) when the housing (12) in in position for printing, and a printer for printing indicia in a selectable pattern of dots on the medium (M) within the printing area. The housing (12) also contains an actuator (20) for initiating a printing sequence and electronic control means for controlling the printer to print indicia on the medium (M) during a printing sequence. In one embodiment the print head can be moved to sweep across a printing area by a manual force applied to an actuator (20).
L'invention porte sur un dispositif électronique d'impression à main autonome (10) servant à l'impression d'inscriptions sur un support (M) et comprenant un boîtier (12) se plaçant à la main contre la surface du support (M) et y restant immobile pendant l'impression. Le boîtier (12) présente une ouverture correspondant sensiblement à la surface d'impression du support (M) lorsque le boîtier (12) est en position d'impression et comporte une imprimante permettant d'imprimer sur un support et à l'intérieur de la surface d'impression des inscriptions correspondant à des motifs de points choisis. Le boîtier (112) contient par ailleurs un actionneur (20) déclenchant la séquence d'impression et un moyen électronique commandant à l'imprimante l'impression des inscriptions sur le support (M). Dans l'une des variantes, la tête d'impression peut balayer la surface d'impression sous l'effet d'une force manuelle appliquée à un actionneur (20).
