A hand-held fetal vacuum extractor (100) combines a pump (120), and handle (1) into a single hand-held unit. This enables a single operator, such as a doctor, to control vacuum using a vacuum pump (120), and apply traction to a fetus using a single hand. A handle (1) having a surface for gripping, is connected to a fetal vacuum cup (150) for being suctioned onto a fetal head. A vacuum pump (120) is connected to the handle (1), and includes an activation surface for activating the vacuum pump (120). The vacuum pump (120) is fluidly coupled to the vacuum cup (150), and fetal head. The grip surface (204) of the handle (1), and the activation surface (302) of the pump (120) are in such proximity, during operation, that a single human hand can simultaneously grasp the grip surface (204), and contact the activation surface (302).
L'invention concerne une ventouse (100) obstétricale manuelle combinant une pompe (120), une poignée (1) en une unité qu'on tient avec une seule main. Ce qui permet à un opérateur tel qu'un médecin de régler le vide au moyen d'une pompe (120) à vide, et d'appliquer une traction à un foetus à l'aide d'une seule main. Une poignée (1) présentant une surface de préhension est connectée à une ventouse (150) obstétricale servant à aspirer la tête d'un foetus. Une pompe (120) à vide connectée à la poignée (1) comporte une surface d'activation servant à activer la pompe (120) à vide. La pompe (120) à vide est reliée par le fluide à la ventouse (150) et à la tête du foetus. La surface (204) de préhension de la poignée (1) et la surface (302) d'activation de la pompe (120) sont si proches qu'au cours de l'opération, une personne peut simultanément saisir la surface (204) de préhension et toucher la surface (302) d'activation avec une seule main.
