The invention relates to a hand-held firearm with a slide-retraction lever (22) which comprises a first and a second handle (26, 28) for retraction of the slide-retraction lever (22), which handles (26, 28) are arranged on opposite sides of the weapon, and having a locking device which is coupled to the first handle (26, 28) and to the second handle (26, 28) such that operation of the first handle and of the second handle (26, 28) results in their lock to the weapon being released, independently of the operation of the respective other handle (26, 28).
