An inflation valve assembly (10) for temporarily connecting inflatable devices (D) to sources of pressurized air (S) is provided. The inflation valve assembly (10) includes a valve coupling mechanism (12) adapted for temporary connection to a source of pressurized air. An outlet nozzle (14) is connected to the valve coupling mechanism (12). The outlet nozzle (14) is adapted for relatively fluid-tight connection to a variety of inflatable devices (D). At least one grip member (20) is secured between the valve coupling mechanism (12) and the outlet nozzle (14). The grip member (20) is adapted to orient the inflation valve assembly (10) in a predetermined position when gripped by a user of the inflation valve assembly (10) during inflation of an inflatable device (D). The valve coupling mechanism (12) can be provided as a schrader valve. The outlet nozzle (14) can be configured as an annular frustoconical nozzle. The at least one grip member (20) can be provided as a pair of grip members (20a, 20b) radially extending outwardly from the inflation valve assembly (10). In an embodiment, the grip members extend directly opposite to one another perpendicular to a longitudinal axis (A) of the inflation assembly (10). The outer surfaces (22) of the inflation assembly (10) can be fabricated from a resilient material, such as neoprene. The outlet nozzle (14) can include a plurality of adapter members (18) constructed to coact with diverse inflatable devices.

L'invention concerne un ensemble valve de gonflage (10) permettant d'adapter temporairement des dispositifs gonflables (D) à des sources d'air sous pression (S), qui comprend un mécanisme de couplage de valve (12) de liaison temporaire auxdites sources. Une buse de sortie (14), reliée au mécanisme en question (12), donne un couplage relativement étanche aux fluides avec divers dispositifs gonflables (D). Au moins un élément de préhension (20) est placé entre le mécanisme de couplage (12) et la buse (14). L'élément de préhension (20) oriente l'ensemble (10) dans une direction déterminée lorsqu'il est saisi par l'utilisateur en cours de gonflage de dispositif gonflable (D). Le mécanisme de couplage (12) peut être une vanne Schrader. La buse (14) peut être du type annulaire conique. Le ou les éléments de préhension (20) peuvent se présenter comme une paire d'éléments de préhension (20a, 20b) s'étendant radialement vers l'extérieur depuis l'ensemble (10). Selon une variante, ces éléments s'étendent directement à l'opposé l'un de l'autre perpendiculairement à un axe longitudinal (A) de l'ensemble (10). Les surfaces externes (22) de l'ensemble (10) peuvent être en matériau souple, du type néoprène. La buse (14) peut comprendre plusieurs adaptateurs (18) coagissant avec les divers dispositifs gonflables.
