A cleaning apparatus having a housing, a motor, a battery, and a removable cleaning attachment. The housing comprising a rigid subassembly shell and a resilient cover. The cover is injection molded onto the shell to waterproof a majority of the shell. The shell has raised portions on its exterior that are used to position the shell in the injection mold. After molding is completed, the cover surrounds the raised portions, but does not cover them.

Appareil de nettoyage comportant un boîtier, un moteur, une pile et un accessoire de nettoyage amovible. Le boîtier comporte une coque rigide et une enveloppe résiliente. L'enveloppe est moulée par injection sur la coque afin d'hydrofuger la plus grande partie de cette dernière. La coque possède, sur sa surface, des parties surélevées extérieures qui servent à positionner la coque dans le moule à injection. Une fois le moulage terminé, l'enveloppe entoure les parties surélevées, mais ne les recouvre pas.
