A detachable hand-held pointing device has a spherical body and a rim. The pointing device contains all necessary components for wireless communication with a computer. The concave side of a spherical body has a laser X-Y input sensor. The convex side of the spherical body has a right click button. The rim has various buttons such as right click, scrolling, zoom etc. The pointing device can be held in relaxed open-grip position between a middle finger and a thumb. The convex side of the pointing device is supported by a middle finger which also operates a right click button. The cursor on a display screen of a computer is controlled by a pivotal, stress-free movement of a thumb over a laser X-Y input sensor. The index finger operates a various buttons on the rim.
