ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hand-held shower head includes a housing which is cylindrical in shape and has a frusto-conical portion with a single orifice nozzle in the center thereof. A push-button actuator is positioned on the cylindrical side portion which in turn actuates a valve mechanism through a diaphragm seal. Water flows from an inlet opening through a lightly biased, normally closed valve which is operated through a plunger connected via the diaphragm to the push-button actuator, and out through a flow restricter and the single orifice nozzle. The push-button actuator is provided with stop means to limit the depression of the actuator.
