A tape applicator (10) applies adhesive-backed drywall tape (36) along both flat joints and corner joints. The applicator (10) has a common tape dispenser (2) to which a flat joint header (3) and a corner joint header (4) can be removably attached. The dispenser (2) includes a tape guide (60) located near a tape outlet (34) for the dispenser as well as a tape brake (69). The flat joint header (3) has a cylindrical application roller (38) with a resilient surface. The corner header includes a creaser wheel (214) that creases the tape into a corner and a guide roller (212) that guides the tape from the dispenser outlet (34) to the creaser wheel (214). A corner roller (5) having a resilient surface can be used effectively to wipe down creased tape over a corner joint. Both the flat joint (3) and corner headers (4) include tape cutters (76 and 260) to selectively cut tape (36) dispensing from the apparatus. The applicator (10) can be used with many kinds of adhesive-backed tapes (36), including reinforced drywall tape, fire tape and mesh tape.
Cette invention concerne un applicateur (10) de ruban qui permet d'appliquer efficacement un ruban à jointoyer adhésif (36), à la fois le long de joints plats et de joints d'angle. L'applicateur (10) comporte un distributeur ordinaire (2) de ruban auquel on peut fixer, de manière détachable, un embout de pose de joint plat (3) ou de joint d'angle (4). Le distributeur (2) comporte un guide de ruban (60) situé à proximité d'une sortie (34) du ruban du distributeur ainsi qu'un organe d'arrêt (69) du ruban. L'embout de pose de joint plat (3) comporte un rouleau d'application cylindrique (38) doté d'une surface élastique. L'embout de pose de joint d'angle comporte une roue à plisser (214) qui plisse le ruban dans un angle ainsi qu'un rouleau guide (212) qui guide le ruban de la sortie (34) du distributeur vers la roue à plisser (214). On peut utiliser un rouleau d'angle (5) doté d'une surface élastique pour lisser le ruban plissé au dessus d'un joint d'angle. Les embouts de pose de joints plats (3) tout comme ceux de joints d'angle (4) comportent des organes de coupe (76 et 260) du ruban qui permettent de couper sélectivement le ruban (36) distribué par l'appareil. On peut utiliser cet applicateur (10) avec différents types de rubans adhésifs (36), tels que rubans à jointoyer renforcés, rubans ignifuges et rubans maillés.
