Abstract of the disclosure A liquid dispensing device, e.g. for cosmetics, cleaning compositions or the like has a hand-operated pump which can be pumped a number of times without discharging any liquid from the device. Pumping charges a reservoir with the liquid and stores it under pressure, the liquid being discharged from the reservoir at will by actuating the pump to its full extent.
