The Hand Proximity Detector consists of two separate units: a RECEIVER and a TRANSMITTER. One unit is mounted in a collar, necklace, headband, tie, earring, hat or other device worn near or around the user's head. The second unit is mounted in a bracelet, ring, watch, glove or other device worn near or around a user's hand. The receiver (using ultrasonic or other electromagnetic detection) produces vibratory, visual (eg. flashing lights), audio (eg. beeps, alarms, tunes, songs, or other recorded sounds and/or other warnings whenever the transmitter approaches within a prescribed distance to warn that the hand is approaching the head. Both units may contain batteries, circuit boards, speakers, and other electronic components. Either unit may also contain such features as low battery indicators, and range adjustment and volume controls.
