A hand sanitizing station location notification system having an arm for swingably impeding a flow of pedestrian traffic, a pivot for swingably attaching the arm to a support, biasing means for returning the arm to a stationary position across a part of the flow of pedestrian traffic from one or more deflected positions occurring when the arm is pushed out of the way by a flow of pedestrian traffic, a visual reminder to hand sanitize attached to the arm, and a visual indicator of the location of a hand sanitizing station attached to the arm. The visual reminder and the visual indicator may either be text, graphical or both. The visual indicator may be an arrow pointing to the station or the direction to go to the station. The visual indicator may be a graphical representation of a path to reach the station or the location of the station.
