Abstract A reversible hand splint having utility in connection with either the left or right hands of stroke patients. A generally can handle-shaped, pear or egg-shaped base member is fixedly secured to the end of an elongate flat base-supporting member that is covered on both sides with a hook and loop type of fastening material. A cradle for a forearm has a complemental strip of the same type of fastening material so that the base member is easily inverted when the splint is changed from one hand to another. Elongate straps having their forwardmost ends secured to opposite ends of the egg-shaped base member are wrapped in crisscrossing relation to one another to retain the patient's forearm in the splint.
