A handstand exercise apparatus allows the user to exercise the entire body. The frame of the apparatus may be arranged so that its base is in the shape of a trapezoid or its side supports are in the shape of the letter "R". This arrangement provides stability to the user and allows the user to exercise freely without having his or her body hit the frame of the apparatus. An upper body exercise device may be added to a handstand exercise apparatus frame to allow the user to perform intensive upper body exercises while in a handstand position.
