A hand tool for cutting pipe has a body with first and second body parts relatively movable together and apart, pipe support means for supporting pipe to be cut, a circular cutter and energy storage means. In use, with the pipe to be cut engaging the pipe support means, relative movement together of the first and second body parts charges the energy storage means so as to urge the pipe support means and the cutter relatively towards each other, whereby the pipe is severed by subsequent relative rotation between the body and the pipe. The energy storage means can be a spring arm which carries the cutter.
Un outil à main, destiné à couper des tuyaux, comporte un corps en deux parties (10, 11; 32, 35; 44, 46; 54, 55; 72, 73, 80), mobiles l'une par rapport à l'autre ensemble ou séparément, un moyen (18, 19; 33, 37; 45; 65; 78) de support de tuyaux destiné aux tuyaux à couper, une lame circulaire (24; 34; 53; 62; 76) et un moyen accumulateur d'énergie (23; 40; 51; 70; 77). Lors de l'utilisation de cet outil, un tuyau à couper étant en prise avec le moyen de support de tuyaux, un mouvement relatif conjoint des deux parties de son corps charge le moyen accumulateur d'énergie de façon à rapprocher ce moyen de support et la lame, ce qui permet de couper ce tuyau par rotation relative subséquente entre le corps et ledit tuyau. Ce moyen accumulateur d'énergie peut être un bras à ressort qui supporte la lame.
