ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hand truck including a large wheel means connected to a frame with an elongated first portion from which extends a handle connected to a second portion to provide two separated handle portions so that one or the other is sufficiently high above the ground during use of the cart so as to avoid muscular strain in the back of the user. The large wheel means reduces the difficulty in moving the loaded truck aver rough or soft terrain. A gripping means is provided to grasp and hold slabs or flat stones even when such a slab or stone lies closely adjacent to others and is therefore difficult to grip.
